Today’s guest is Gail Johnson, and this turned out to be one of my favorite episodes! Gail is a graduate of the Second Half S.P.A.R.K. School and I’m now her business coach, guiding her in the development of her own new program.
In this interview, Gail shared some really interesting stories about her gift and the impact she wants to make through this gift. In this episode we talked about:
Gail’s program helps people who are suffering from grief and loss. And what’s amazing is that she conceived, created and launched it in 6 months! When she began talking about wanting to make a bigger impact by creating a group coaching program, she had the...
This week’s guest is another Second Half S.P.A.R.K. School™ alumni, Laura Strachan, an empty nester and a long term cancer survivor. Laura has been a very active student ever since joining SPARK School where she was able to recover her authentic self. She’s now confident, happy, reconnected with her husband and a great example for her kids.
Laura’s transformation came from one inspired action: an assignment from one of my free trainings that led to a huge shift that transformed her life. Just ONE SIMPLE ACTION that instigated more inspired actions!
Her decision that day to take action led her to getting connected with the right people and community which has given her the sparked second half she couldn’t find on her own. She’s a great example that one small decision can change everything.
As Laura and I ‘catch up’ in this episode, she openly shares:
Today I'm re-publishing one of my most popular episodes from October of 2020 because I think it's a great way to start out the year - knowing that our best life will only be lived from a place of authenticity, from who we were born to be.
In this episode I interview Alex Paulos, a personality expert and leadership coach and author of the Recognizing People, who I've gotten to know quite well since this interview was first recorded. In fact I just finished a week of 1 on 1 training with him, spending quality time learning his method.
It was truly one of the most amazing experiences of my life as I learned I have a gift of reading people that has been untapped until now. No wonder I've been fascinated with Alex's work! HINT: Let your interests be a sign that lead you to your untapped gifts.
Here's a little a background on Alex and what he does...
Alex has “cracked the code” into providing genetically-based personality assessments based on his intuitive system of...
No guest this week as I want to finish the year with a look back at the things I've learned, or that I knew theoretically but confirmed through experience!
I always like to look back because I've found the lessons that help me most are behind me, and in my past, I've been guilty of rushing forward without taking pause and reflecting on the lessons. And this year, I thought I'd do my reflecting with you!
It's a practice I preach and teach, and I've done it every month for the past 2.5 years. Doing the documenting as the year progresses certainly makes the annual reflecting process easier!
I'd love this episode to inspire you to think about the lessons you've learned in 2021. Are there any parallels in your life to the five I talked about?
Zehra Mahoon is a master mindset and law of attraction coach and manifesting expert. She is the author of twelve books on these subjects and the creator of the Unlimited 40 day law of attraction workout and the Unlimited Universe Mastermind.
After committing to completely transforming her self-worth in 2006, she went from being massively in debt to owning multiple properties and creating a thriving business, as well as healing her relationships.
In this episode, we talk about:
As a coach, Zehra helps individuals identify blockages that are keeping them from achieving success. She helps them change their self-talk and develop new thinking habits that open up...
My guest this week is Jill Sherer Murray. Jill is an award-winning author, journalist, marketing, and communications expert, TEDx speaker, and founder of “Let Go For It,” a lifestyle brand aimed at improving people’s situation through the simple mantra of letting go.
In her TEDx Talk, “The Unstoppable Power of Letting Go” that has million views on YouTube, she shares her own difficult journey of letting go to successfully move forward. That experience led her to write her best-selling book, Big Wild Love: The Unstoppable Power of Letting Go for the many people who reached out to her from all over the world for advice and inspiration after watching her TEDx Talk.
Jill studied improvisational comedy at the famous Second City Training Center in Chicago, wrote a popular blog called “Diary of a Writer in Mid-Life Crisis” for the former Wild River Review magazine, and let go of just about everything to be written about in Shape...
My guest this week is Jackie Wheeler Wiebe, a longtime homeschooling mom & the founder of HomeSchool ThinkTank. who strives to connect homeschool families with one another and provide the resources and inspiration they need.
Her purpose path began quite unexpectedly, as it often does, when she took action to help someone else - her 13-year old daughter! Her daughter wanted to write a book so Jackie decided SHE would start writing a book to learn about the self-publishing process so she could help her daughter publish her novel when she was ready.
When she thought about what her book should be about, she turned to what she knew and that was homeschooling. This process led her to think about the challenges she had as a homeschooling mom and come up with ideas to solve those problems.
An internal spark was lit, and as she took action, her path and potential purpose became more and more clear. Once she committed to this new path and doing the work she was meant to...
Happy Anniversary to Not Your Average Lives and Happy Birthday to me!!!
Today's podcast was inspired by my look back at the last 12 months. We typically tend to forget our accomplishments and focus on what we didn't get done so one of my regular mindset practices is to celebrate my accomplishments every single month and document them.
So the exercise of looking back over the past 12 months was not too hard because I had it all written down, but it still amazes me because my natural inclination, which is pretty common for most of us, is to think I didn't do enough.
What also amazes me is that what I ended up accomplishing in my 61st year changed so much from what I set out to accomplish, and even so, it turned out to be my best year yet! And I know that's because I kept following my gut!!!
The older I get, the more aligned I become in what I know I'm here to do and the happier I become as a result of that which results in a deeper conviction in helping others find their unique...
Two such simple and seemingly insignificant words, but when you drill down into the definitions of each, you get how they have a lot of power to the subconscious mind.
How often do you use the word "want?" And is it keeping you stuck in a lack mindset?
Now you know this simple little trick by catching it when you think it and quickly replacing it with the word "desire" which will shift you into a more detached and abundant state.
This has created quite a shift for me so of course I am sharing it with YOU! I hope it helps!!!
