I loved these so much that I ordered another pair in a different design when I got home. The tummy control is perfect. They’re not too tight but keep the belly from sticking out AND it has side pockets which have become mandatory for me with all new leggings I purchase.

These were recommended by a friend who recently took a long flight. They have 5 mg of Melatonin and are good if you’re struggling to sleep which is super hard for me to do on flights. As it turns out, I never used them in flight but they came in handy one night for me and my roommate when she couldn’t stop coughing!

I’m on Book 3 of a 5-book series that I can’t put down. It came highly recommended by my daughter. It’s a story about humans (mortals) and faeries (immortals) as well as other interesting creatures and the different worlds and kingdoms they live in and rule. I’m addicted!

A recent purchase at Old Navy inspired me to see if I could find a similar pair of comfy pants on Amazon, and I hit the jackpot with these. Nothing better for my upcoming trip than a comfy pair of stretchy pants! I got the black ones with a 28” inseam. I’m 5’5”, and these work well with a 1-inch heel.

Apple Air Tag

I knew I had to have one after first learning about it on our trip to Scotland. I had no idea this technology existed! 😮 Since about 5 people on that trip lost their luggage, it was amazing to me that they could “see” where their luggage was when the airlines had no clue. I’m excited to watch my bag on my upcoming trip!

I saw these at Whole Foods about a year ago, and they are the perfect healthy travel snack! They are high in fiber, and instead of processed sugar, they use dates for their sweetness. They have many flavors, but my favorite is Vanilla Cashew Almond. These will definitely be in my backpack for my upcoming trip!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this Rom-Com on Netflix. (We tend to watch thrillers so this was a nice switch!) And the best part is the male lead is Luke Grimes who is the youngest Dutton son on the show Yellowstone. There’s something about him I find so sexy so it made it easy to watch!

I heard about this juicer from Chris Wark’s anti-cancer Square One program I’m doing, which I mentioned in last month’s list, and it is AMAZING! I’ve never juiced before but I’ve discovered it’s a great way to get a boatload of nutrients from raw veggies into your body without having to eat them the old-fashioned way which can be hard.

Berkey Water Filter

This is another item I heard about from Chris, and it’s endorsed by my massage therapist who raves about hers. It’s a bit pricey but you don’t have to change filters very often so it’s actually cheaper in the long run than a Britta filter. And the water is delicious! If you don’t filter your water, please look into it. Tap water may contain chemicals that are not good for us.

Heal Documentary

This is a wonderful documentary that will take you on a scientific and spiritual journey where you’ll discover the power to heal the human body simply by changing our perceptions, beliefs, and emotions. I heard about it from my friend Christie Miller who is fighting (and winning) her battle with an aggressive form of breast cancer. She’s also the one who turned me on to Chris and his program.

I just have to recommend this book written by one of my friends! I actually met Kim through my newsletter!!! She replied to one of my emails and I ended up having her as a guest on my podcast (check out Episode 42). Her first book series, Celia’s Legacy, got me back to reading fiction a couple of years ago so I’m excited for this new series.

Indoor Remote Control Outlet

My husband bought 3 of these and I love them!!! They are so simple to set up yet they make a huge difference in everyday tasks. I use two of them for fountains that previously I had to either walk behind a sofa or crawl underneath my desk to plug in. And my husband is using the other one for an old lamp you turn on and off with a chain that doesn’t always work. Now we just use the remote to turn these on and off. Seriously life-changing!

Gooseneck Cell Phone Holder

Since I take a lot of videos with my phone and often it’s when I’m sitting in my car, I’m always on the lookout for a good phone-holding gadget. This is my latest purchase which is marketed as a “bed phone holder” because it can clamp onto your bed frame or bedside table, but I got it for my car.

As it turns out, it’s too bulky to leave setup in my car so I’ll clip it on when I need it, but I’m glad I got it because it’s super sturdy and I can move it around to use in multiple places. It does require a bit of strength to adjust the gooseneck, but I like that it’s not flimsy and won’t be permanently affixed to my car with sticky stuff that won’t last!

I have to recommend this awesome little paperback book that was recently published by bestselling author Jacqueline Pirtle who I had on my podcast (Episode 260). This book helps little ones discover the power of who they really are which is what I teach my students who are over 50!!! It’s something I wish we all were taught as children so I can’t wait to read this book to my grandkids the next time I see them!

This is an incredible course, by Chris Wark, for people who are either trying to heal from cancer, prevent a recurrence, or just want to take steps to reduce the risk of ever getting cancer. I heard about Chris from a friend recently diagnosed with cancer and began going through this fascinating program.

A new 9 to 5 called for a new desk setup. Believe it or not, one of the 5 desks in our house couldn’t suffice! 😂 And working from the couch just isn’t feasible, so says my chiropractor. I was inspired by a desk I saw at Costco, but I found a better one on Amazon that was easy enough to put together myself!!! And I’m sitting at it now!

Oh my gosh!!! This has been a game-changer since starting my 9 to 5. Because my husband’s idea of cooking is picking up a pizza, having him help with dinner some nights wasn’t an option so I had to find a solution that was easy and healthy. I stumbled across this book recently and listened to it on Audible, and it was really AWESOME! I especially loved hearing it straight from the author as it felt like I was in a room with him, not like he was reading words. He made it come alive with so many great insights, perspectives, and real life examples on how to live a more awesome life.

The Magic of Believing by Claude Bristol

This is a book I listened to on Audible and liked so much I went and purchased the paperback because I want to go back through it again with my highlighter. It was first published in 1948 but so many of the concepts presented still hold true today. In fact, Claude was a man before his time in understanding the magic of the mind. This 2018 version includes study guides after each chapter to make the concepts more contemporary. I can’t wait to dig in deeper on this subject!

Princess Dress Costume (with wand and crown)

This one makes a GREAT gift! I got it for my granddaughter’s 3rd birthday earlier this month. She wanted a crown so she got a dress and wand to go with it. The picture my daughter sent me of her smiling at herself in the mirror with such happiness is priceless. If only we could all feel that way!!! Flame Flickering Light Bulbs

Did you know you can buy light bulbs that look like a flame?!?! I got some to use in my home studio since I’m always talking about “sparking your soul” and “igniting your flame.” How perfect! The flame isn’t quite as realistic as the pictures indicate but it’s still cool and I love how the photos show the different uses, in a bar, on pillars, or for porch lights.

This is a book I’m just finishing up that was recommended to me and my students by personality expert, Alex Paulos. It introduces and teaches the difference between a growth and a fixed mindset and gives a lot of real life scenarios which bring it all to light. I’m a pencil and paper kind of girl and this is a gadget I’ve been hearing a lot about recently. It’s an electronic tablet that’s supposed to have the feel of writing on paper and helps keep your notes organized. One of my challenges is that I have several paper notebooks and am always grabbing the closest one to write down an idea, then I forget where I put “that important note!” I’ve heard from a couple of friends that this device has been a game-changer so I asked for one for my birthday. I’m a few days in and am very happy with it!!!

Dog Car Booster Seat

Since our dog, Moji, came with us to Florida, I thought I should mention how he traveled and why I love having him securely fastened into his own car seat. I remember a vet telling me that an untethered dog in a car is a projectile waiting to happen and the thought of that was enough for me to run out and get one of these and he loves it. Never a peep or complaint in 13 hours on the road!
