Today is a short episode. I was going to talk about another topic but as I was preparing the episode, I felt nudged instead to share a quick update about my progress with taking action on the desires/goals I put on my new vision board.
If you missed my Vision Board training, the replay is up until 8pm EST on Sunday, 1/16/22 so you can catch it by CLICKING HERE if you hurry. If you missed it, I'll be doing another one in the not-too-distant future so sign up on the waitlist and stay tuned for when that will happen.
I also share my word for the year which is a word that my team is using as well to drive the business this year. And I'm happy to say it's already having a positive effect on the work we're doing!

My guest this week is Nancy Dubé, a graduate of my Second Half S.P.A.R.K. School™. I wanted to bring Nancy on and catch up on her life because it's been awhile since I had her on as a guest. I also thought she'd be a perfect guest for the topic I started the year with: living from a place of authenticity in order to have the best year of your life.
Nancy's story exemplifies what happens when you reconnect with your authentic self in the best way possible as she shows how quickly life can change once you recognize there's an issue and commit to doing something about it.
We walk back in time during this interview to when we first met and what was going on with Nancy when she first joined the Second Half S.P.A.R.K. School™.
We discuss the drastic changes she made to reconnect with her inborn personality, once she realized she was in a state of misalignment, after having a typing session with Alex Paulos who I featured in episode #181.
In this episode, we also talked...
In my first Activating Abundance episode of 2022, I decided to talk about authenticity because I believe if we aren't operating from our most authentic self, it is impossible to have the best year of your life.
So if you are really serious about making this year the best year of your life, make sure you tap into the truest version of you, the one that is congruent with your values and desires, and not some less than genuine version that you think you ought to be.
It all starts with knowing who you are! When you operate from that place - in alignment with your higher self - everything is so much easier and more joy-filled.
I also share a really awesome concept that was recently explained to me as it relates to authenticity: "Big You" vs. "Little You". This concept shows how easy it is to get sidetracked from our authentic self but also how easy it is to get tapped back into it.
If you like learning this stuff and you'd like to go deeper on it with me in my group coaching program,...
Today I'm re-publishing one of my most popular episodes from October of 2020 because I think it's a great way to start out the year - knowing that our best life will only be lived from a place of authenticity, from who we were born to be.
In this episode I interview Alex Paulos, a personality expert and leadership coach and author of the Recognizing People, who I've gotten to know quite well since this interview was first recorded. In fact I just finished a week of 1 on 1 training with him, spending quality time learning his method.
It was truly one of the most amazing experiences of my life as I learned I have a gift of reading people that has been untapped until now. No wonder I've been fascinated with Alex's work! HINT: Let your interests be a sign that lead you to your untapped gifts.
Here's a little a background on Alex and what he does...
Alex has “cracked the code” into providing genetically-based personality assessments based on his intuitive system of...
In the last episode of 2021, I talk about how I ignored Oprah's advice and failed to create a vision board, until just 2.5 years ago. I share how I had the belief that I didn't have time to sit down and create one, but what I came to realize is that by not taking the time, I wasted time because I wasn't getting in touch with my true desires and what I wanted my life to be.
By not spending any time creating the vision of the life I wanted, I delayed it's arrival into my reality.
Now that I'm older & wiser and can speak from experience on the effectiveness of having a vision of the reality you desire, I thought this would be an appropriate subject as we exit 2021 and begin a new year.
How about starting 2022 with a clear vision of what you want? How about joining me and taking Oprah's advice?
In this episode, I provide a few thought prompts to get your creative juices flowing so take a listen and have fun in the process - because dreaming is meant to be FUN!

No guest this week as I want to finish the year with a look back at the things I've learned, or that I knew theoretically but confirmed through experience!
I always like to look back because I've found the lessons that help me most are behind me, and in my past, I've been guilty of rushing forward without taking pause and reflecting on the lessons. And this year, I thought I'd do my reflecting with you!
It's a practice I preach and teach, and I've done it every month for the past 2.5 years. Doing the documenting as the year progresses certainly makes the annual reflecting process easier!
I'd love this episode to inspire you to think about the lessons you've learned in 2021. Are there any parallels in your life to the five I talked about?
In this episode, I share a trick that I learned from one of my mentors: Create an archetype name and statement to represent the person who has achieved the goals you desire.
I did that and it's really an amazing tactic that works! When I envision myself as my archetype, I feel sooooo abundant, like all is good in the world and all things are possible. No doubts. No fears. No lack thinking.
An archetype is representative of the BE, DO, HAVE model which I explain in this episode. But the gist of that model is that we get stuck in the doing of the current version of ourselves, and for many of us, that version is typically stuck in old habits that won't lead to the success we want. It's not like we need to change who we are because we are all capable of having what we want... but we are playing the role of the stuck version instead of the unstuck version who has the habits that will get us to where we want to go.
We need to BE the version of the person who has achieved her goals...
My guest this week is Heather Giambalvo, a decluttering coach who helps women learn how to incorporate daily decluttering into their schedules so that they can develop a decluttering habit and live a decluttered life. She coaches 1-on-1, runs a group coaching membership, and has self-study courses.
Through her journey of a 100 pound weight loss, she learned how mindset and the thoughts she chose were the key elements in lasting success. That experience led her to start applying those same elements to her home which led to her discovering her true gift: helping people declutter their homes AND their minds.
In this episode, Heather and I talked about:
Heather believes you don't have to take drastic action to make massive progress with your lives and your homes. Her gentle, sustainable...
In this episode I wanted to share the 3 ways I truly stepped out of my comfort zone over the past week. I share what I did, how it felt, and the realization that I haven't been challenging myself enough.
And you may find them surprising because they were induced by literally GOING PHYSICALLY outside my comfort zone - on an airplane!
I know going outside our comfort zones can be scary, but I had forgotten how abundant it really is once you get there - and how once you arrive in that previously perceived scary place, it's not so scary anymore!
I challenge you to challenge yourself as soon as possible and go outside your comfort zone. Maybe you'll choose an airplane to take you there like I did, but you can stay right where you are and still travel there! Don't avoid it because you think it will require a plane ticket!!!
And message me on social media to tell me what you've decided to challenge yourself with... I can't wait to hear from you!
If you want to learn more about Alex...
In today’s episode I interview Claire Sandys, who co-hosts The Silent Why podcast with her husband Chris. Claire is an aspiring writer, blogger, Earl Grey tea drinker and lover of baked beans on toast.
I met Claire because I heard about her podcast in a podcast community and reached out to her to recommend one of my past guests as a guest for her show. In that process, I learned she’d be a good fit for Not Your Average Lives so here we are!
Claire has a touching story about losing the life that she thought she’d have: being a mom. And she openly shares her journey from an early marriage, to deciding to start a family, to finding out it was unlikely they’d get pregnant on their own, to contemplating and rejecting IVF, to contemplating and rejecting adoption, and to ultimately dealing with her own health issues that led to a hysterectomy and early menopause, before age 40..
In this episode, we talked about:
