In this episode I share what triggered me this past week, that initially made me emotional and angry but then led me to begin reading "White Fragility" and getting an eye-opening prospective on how I've contributed to the racism in our country. You can order this book on Amazon using this link: https://amzn.to/37njsiI
I highly recommend this book as a starting point for anyone who wants to learn more and encourage you to do what you can to learn about this because this is a problem that ALL OF US need to own and fix.

Sandy Viteri migrated from Venezuela and moved to the US when she was 18 without even knowing how to speak the English language. Nevertheless, the language barrier and the cultural differences did not stop her from pursuing her goals. Her journey led her from waitress to Vice President of Global Marketing for a multi-million dollar company.
Despite her hard work and efforts, she herself laid off from her job two years ago. But with her innate drive, natural positivity and extensive experience in marketing, she decided to launch her own company.
But as she saw that Marketing didn't really light her up, she decided to research alternative business ideas and now she teaches entrepreneurs how market their brands using video podcasting. Sandy, of course, also has her own podcast.

Do you believe in the afterlife? Have you ever had a personal encounter from someone you love who has died? If you could communicate with a loved one who has passed, who would that be? And do you even believe that would be possible?
If you think this is a bit crazy, maybe today's episode will change your mind because my guests have a fantastic story to share, It's actually a tragic story of a life-ending illness that took a beautiful soul too soon, but it's also a story of love & peace, as you will soon find out.
My guests today are Jocelyn Montanaro and Catherine Weissenberg, who co-authored the book, Beyond Ever After .This book is the story of Kevin, Jocelyn's husband, and his end of life journey, and Catherine's & Jocelyn's experiences "connecting" with him over his last few weeks.
Jocelyn is a lawyer with a natural feistiness and strong-will, who was lucky to marry the love...
Going back to where it all started! Sharing with you the story of my career from being a college dropout, waiting tables to entering the corporate world and actually becoming a Vice President at America Online (AOL). It may sound enticing with the fancy title and attractive salary but I would always find myself comparing my achievement to others and feeling less than instead of realizing my infinite potential which I now know exists in every human being.
I thought that by sharing the looooong path I took to get to where I am today and the choices I made in my journey, I'd inspire some listeners who think they may be too old to start something new. It's my story of never giving up on finding work I'm passionate about - work that makes me truly happy at my core and gives me purpose I've never known in any other professional job I've had before.
Starting a business is not as hard as you may think, especially in this day and age. I am proof it is possible when you don't have a clue but...
“Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened.” – Anatole France
Losing a pet is one of the most painful feelings a pet owner can experience. Some would even say it is even worse than losing a human.
For Wendy Van de Poll, losing her dog Marley to a tragic tumor was extremely difficult, but a life-changing one, in ways that are beyond normal logic.
Marley encouraged Wendy to follow her true calling -- pet hospice and animal mediumship. She then became a certified end-of-life and pet loss grief coach and opened Center for Pet Loss Grief which offers complete and intuitive heart based support for people who are either losing a pet, are dealing with the loss of a pet, and animal mediumship services for those that would like to know more about their pet in the afterlife.
In this episode, you gain a better understanding of how Wendy was led to her true...
This is definitely my most personal and vulnerable episode! I share the story of how I met my husband in 1977, at age 18, (I think I misspoke and said 17 in error, during the episode!), how we reconnected in 2006, and finally tied the knot in 2009 - 32 years after we first met. As I listened back, there are things I left out that I wished I shared but I also know that it's long enough as is!!!
What I know is that some people who hear this episode will not agree with the decisions I made, but that's ok. I also know that some who hear it will be inspired to take positive action towards a more passion-filled life, whether that is addressing and fixing the problems in your current relationship OR discovering you are better off apart and choosing to explore love elsewhere.
I'm always looking for interesting guests so if you know of someone who has a great story of reconnecting with an old love, please have them contact me on one of my social media sites or via email at...
For Angie Sanders, the path to motherhood was not easy. She endured 3 heart-wrenching miscarriages, with the last one happening on Christmas Eve - right before she was about to share her pregnancy news with family - and sending her into early menopause.
But her strong desire to become a mom did not stop her from finding a way. She found solace and support through therapy and helping care for the children of friends and began the journey to become a parent through adoption.
When she and her husband could find no support groups for people who were going through the same situation as them, Angie decided to start one herself. It's called Adoptive Parents & Family Support Group and has grown to over 300 members. You can find it here: https://www.meetup.com/AdoptiveFamilies/
Her deep desire to be a "difference-maker" and better support the families in her group led her to become...

In this episode, I share the joy that adopting a new puppy has brought to my life, especially in light of being cooped up at home with this pandemic. He has brought love & laughter back into our home after our 15 1/2 year old Chihuahua passed away in January.
But this episode is more than just me talking because I've invited my dog trainer to join in the conversation! Yep!!! I've been getting a little help in my puppy parenting skills from The Dog Academy and its founder Sherry Nativo.
Sherry & I had fun discussing the joys and challenges that having a new puppy brings, as well as the misconceptions many dog owners have when it comes to their dog's behavior. I am so thankful to have had Sherry to help me navigate these early days with Moji, my 4 month old Pooton.
Make sure to stick around to the end when Sherry opens up about her own story of how she got into dog training 10 years ago after her mom suddenly passed away. It's a great story!!!
