Not Your Average Lives Podcast

Episode 174: [Activating Abundance #36] By Acting on A Nudge

In today's episode, I share about acting on nudges that come from the universe and how I probably would not be here in Utah right now, working one-on-one with one of my mentors if it weren't for that kind of a nudge. (No Zoom!!! We're face-to-face!)

If you listened to Episode 170, about following intuition, you may think this is a repeat of the same discussion, but I like to think of this as a continuation of that conversation.

A nudge commonly occurs prior to some sort of intuitive action. Intuition isn't always preceded by a nudge, but often there is some kind of sign that leads a person to follow their intuition, at least that's the case for me. And while some folks will follow nudges, too many of us ignore them.

What nudge have you received lately that you are not following up on?

Episode 173: The Benefits Of A Retreat Reset with Nathania Stambouli

Today’s interview is with Nathania Stambouli who was on the podcast back in late June talking about how she turned her Covid crisis - her LA yoga studio shut down - into a multi 6 figure online business in less than 12 months.

Please check out Episode 128 to hear her back story, how we met, and how she’s turned her yoga business into a money machine that is now impacting thousands and allowing her to thrive doing what she does best.

I asked her to come back on the podcast because, since she first came on, I’ve joined her yoga community and experienced a week-long retreat with her in Greece, and I wanted to chat with her about it.

In this episode, we talked about:

  • how she started doing Yoga retreats several years ago
  • my fears and experience as a novice and the oldest person on the retreat
  • the practice of Yoga Nidra which I had never experienced before the retreat
  • her upcoming live workshop where you can learn how to master 3 yoga poses

Episode 172: [Activating Abundance #35] By Manifesting A Vision

In today's episode I share an amazing manifestation that just came true. I put this one on my Vision Board in January 2019, right after I attended my business coach's in person event called BBD Live.

Listen until the end so you can hear the speech I delivered that I dreamt of doing for almost 3 years!

Well, I didn't envision the specific speech I gave, but I envisioned DOING a speech and being on stage as a finalist. Truth be told, I couldn’t have envisioned the actual speech because the material for it had to evolve as my journey evolved, and I had to experience the breakthrough I shared.

That vision of being a finalist finally came true, and I am so completely thrilled and honored that it happened the way it did. I am so grateful that I kept at it, never giving up, even after trying and not being selected on 2 previous occasions.

I think this abundant feeling will stay with me for the rest of my lifetime!

Episode 170: [Activating Abundance #34] By Following Your Intuition

In today's episode, I give you a little post-Thanksgiving exercise which came to me from my intuition - a definite nudge from the universe that I followed. I love it when these nudges happen AND I follow them!

I used to always ignore nudges and just stick to my logical plan so I really get a kick out of following them and seeing what the universe delivers. It's always magical and never ceases to amaze me.

I hope you enjoy this short lesson in what to do to help soften the letdown that commonly happens after a big holiday or event that you were looking so forward to and had lots of fun doing.

Once you finish your assignment, you can move on to Black Friday shopping ;) unless of course, you're an early bird and were waiting in line when stores opened today! And if that's the case, if you're anything like me, you're already feeling better because a little shopping is another great antidote for the post Thanksgiving day blues!!!

Episode 168: [Activating Abundance #33] With The Holidays

In today's episode, I share my tips and tactics for approaching and experiencing the holidays with an abundant mindset:

A few of the things I talk about are:

  • how recognizing the misfortune of others helps boost abundant feelings.
  • how to look for ways to expand vs. limit and get creative with alternative options for holiday celebrations.
  • how to shift into a "give to get" approach vs. focusing only on getting what you want. The book I referenced is called "The Go Giver" by Bob Burg
  • how to visualize and be grateful for the day in advance so that the universe can assist you in bringing the holiday event you desire into reality.
